Artficial intelligence - Past, present and future.

On behalf of the Swedish AI Society, the organizing committee of the
SCAI'08 conference and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering
Sciences, you are cordially invited to participate in a seminar on the
past and future of AI. The seminar is organized in conjunction with the
Scandinavian AI Conference (SCAI) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of
the Swedish AI Society.

Fifty years after its inception, Artificial Intelligence has established
itself as an independent scientific discipline with major spin-offs in
the form of industry applications. Intelligent search engines,
autonomous vehicles and knowledge discovery in large databases within
biomedicine are current examples of successful AI contributions.

The seminar contains invited talks by the two Swedish fellows of the
European AI Society, Erik Sandewall and Patrick Doherty, by SAIS
honorary president Carl Gustaf Jansson and major companies such as
AstraZeneca, Ericsson and Google. They will put Swedish AI research in a
perspective and present some expectations for the next 25 years. The
seminar is concluded by a panel discussion with the invited speakers.
In the evening a dinner will be held at IVA.

senast den 19 maj med ditt namn, företag (eller motsvarande), och
epost-adress till: aidag@sics.se

Den som också vill delta i middagsbuffén (pris 500 kr inkl moms) den
26/5, ska i stället registrera sig via SCAI-konferensens registrerings-sida. Instruktioner för betalning finns på samma sida. Välj alternativet "Jubilee day (May 26)". (Eller passa på att anmäla dig till hela konferensen SCAI 2008!)
