Instant Contiki is an entire Contiki development environment in a single-file download. It is an Ubuntu Linux image with all Contiki development tools installed that is run under VMware, Virtual Box, or any of the other virtual environments out there.

Instant Contiki make installation of Contiki very easy: just download the zip file, unzip it, and run VMware player. No need to go through lengthy installation processes or worry about incompatibilities with compilers, Java versions, or other tool chains.
