SICS Digital Library Initiative

The Digital Library had the following focus areas:

• Digital Library Infrastructure
  Develop an example library of real material with tools for searching, browsing, selection, and information visualization and demonstrator prototypes.

• Analysis Tool for Text and Speech
  We develop new low-level tools and analysis algorithms for text and speech collections.

• Users, Tasks and Interaction - Adaption and Evaluation
  We investigate models for and evaluate information-seeking behaviour and interaction between user and IR systems for the design of interactive IR systems.

• Multilingual research issues
  Designing indexing tools which support multilinguality and cross-linguistic information retrieval.
