The FID Corporate Network

What is FID Corporate Network

The voice of private sector is extremely important in the development of the information professions and information businesses. The FID Corporate membership category facilitiates closer and more effective interaction between different groups, and creates international forums where the voice of the corporate sector is heard.

Our target is to create a global network of Corporate Members, who will be able to interact at their level of competence and status. FID's extensive network of national, international, governmental and intergovernmental contacts will give additional opportunities for international networking.

FID believes strongly that all private sector organizations, not just those already in the information industry, have a diect stake in the unfolding information age. But, if their voice are to be heard, corporations must seek out participative forums and opportunities where their influence can make a real difference.

Membership

The FID Corporate Network consists of private sectors entitities worldwide. Corporate members are primarily private sector organizations, but may be quasi-governmental (e.g. state-owned corporations). Representation in the corporate network is aimed at those responsible for the information flow within (global) corporations.
