Downloading and installing the Agneta and Frida system:

Agneta & Frida consists of a number of web-sites, an implementation of the Agneta & Frida characters using MS Agents, and some scripts that makes the jokes work. In order to run the program you need to have MS InternetExplorer with MS Agents installed. Click on each of the links below to download MS InternetExplorer, MS Agents and Agneta & Frida.

Installation of Agneta and Frida (A&F)

1. Make sure you have MSIE and MS Agents properly installed.
2. Download A&F (Note: The file is BIG. 187MB)
3. Unpack af_eu.zip to a location of your choice
4. Go to the root directory of A&F, which should be "your install path"/af
5. Open the file agent2.html in a text editor
6. Change the value of the variable baseLocation, at the top of the page, to your install path and save the file
7. Run A&F by opening the file startsida.html in MSIE.

NOTE: The freetext search functionality of A&F is dependent of a webserver and some installed cgi-scripts. To make the installation of A&F as easy as possible, and since freetext search in no way is an essential part of the system, we chose not to include that functionality into this version. If you would like to have that functionality as well, please contact Jarmo Laaksolahti at SICS.
