Abstract
A sufficient technique to deal with the complex electronic information space is needed. One method is to employ landmarks in a space for people to orient themselves and therefore, people will be able to navigate through the vast amounts of information. Landmarks can be constructed in a GUI so that they are salient and improve the interface by improving user performance by simplifying the search space and improving the user's memory.
