Instructions for Applicants
Thank you for your interest in working in the Intelligent Systems
Laboratory at SICS.
We would like to see formal applications, including the items listed
under "All Applicants" and, where applicable, "Graduate Students".
There is no special form.
Send your application to the area contact person. Addresses are
available on the contact page and on the
SICS phone/email list.
All Applicants
From all applicants we require
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Letters of recommendation
- Statement of intent
We would like to see at least one, but no more than three, letters of
recommendation. The author of a letter should be a senior person who
knows the applicant well, and who is in a position to give a
professional opinion on qualifications and aptitude. The letters of
recommendation must be sent directly by the author to us. They may be
sent by email.
The statement of intent should describe the applicants goals in
research and, where applicable, in pursuing graduate studies. It
should indicate what you want to do at SICS and why you want to do it
at SICS. We welcome evocations of dreams, and far-reaching plans for
the future.
Graduate Student Positions
For graduate student positions, we further require the following
information, where applicable.
- Degrees, course scores
- TOEFL scores
- GRE scores
Attested copies of degrees and course scores are required by all
applicants to graduate student positions.
TOEFL scores are required when the applicants native language is
neither English nor Swedish. For Swedish applicants, TOEFL scores are
very welcome.
GRE scores are always very welcome.
