Research area
How will we manage the flow of information in a world where everything
is connected. As computer systems get more integrated into our daily
lives we need new methods to interact with the increased flow of
information. The days of keyboards and desktop terminals will soon be
over and the age of the ubiquitous computer environment will start.
We will be surrounded by intelligent systems that can provide us with
information.
The question is how to find the relevant information is each given
situation. A system should be aware of the location of the user, her
intentions and previous knowledge. Relevant information can then be
gathered by communicating with other intelligent systems. The
projects will focus on how to structure and gather information to aid
us in every-day life situations.
