INTAGE - Communication and Intelligent Services in Open Networks
INTAGE was two subsequent collaboration projects between the
Intelligent Systems and HUMLE labs at SICS from 1996 to 2002, which
were funded by KFB and VINNOVA.
Goals
The goals of INTAGE were to:
- investigate technical and user-oriented aspects of intelligent agent based services in open networks.
- provide a foundation for demonstrators and applications, such as market places, personal security, personal communication, and information services.
Activities
Research was carried out along four main lines of activities:
- user adaptivity -
principles for domain specific user adaptivity, in particular adaptation of web-based information systems
- multimodal interaction -
multimodal communication between users and interface agents, in particular in cases of complex domains and information overload
- knowledge management and communication -
principles for representing and communicating knowledge (between agents)
- collaboration and coordination -
principles for using and coordinating available knowledge and abilities (of agents and humans)
Results
Results of INTAGE include numerous publications, theses, prototypes,
and a spin-off company, as detailed in the project final reports:
