Networked Embedded Systems Group
The Networked Embedded Systems (NES) group at the
Swedish Institute of Computer Science, part of the Computer Systems Laboratory. Our
current research focus is on wireless sensor networks and system
software for embedded networked devices. Specifically, our key
interests include:
- System software for sensor networks and embedded systems
(Contiki,
Protothreads).
- Applying AI methods to sensor networking.
- Protocol implementations for memory-constrained systems
(uIP).
- Simulation of wireless sensor networks (COOJA)
- Application of wireless sensor networks (climate,
energy)
Our software is used by hundreds of
companies worldwide in products ranging from pico-satellite systems
and racing car engines to development kits for embedded software and
for networked reconfigurable hardware.
We conduct projects together
with industry and academic partners from Sweden and across
Europe.
