Over the past half-decade, key technologies have emerged and dovetailed enabling practical and profitable deployment of sensor networks and ‘wrangling’ of the information they generate and consume – opening the door to “the internet of things.” This free-roaming panel discussion brings together inventors and enablers from every layer of the ‘concept stack’: from IPv6 and micro-OS to HPC computing, database, solution platform and global meta-network – to identify the kit-of-parts, map the state of the art, and hypothesize about what’s next.
