Current aspects of
research in PRIMA-Net
We are currently
investigating the use of the XACML
access
control standard (especially XACML
3.0)
for integrating access control into a remote administration
infrastructure based on the NETCONF
protocol. The goal is
to see if an access control system based on XACML can be tailored to
make access control decisions for NETCONF rpc-requests.
Without proper administration tools, the task of designing and
maintaining the access control policies of a complex network soon
becomes unwieldy. In the second phase of the PRIMA-Net project we are
investigating the use of formal verification techniques to inspect
policies, detect conflicts among policies, and check various integrity
constraints.
