Promos: Sensor Network Programming Made Easy
Sensor networks are expected to be the next computing revolution, but their adoption is hampered because sensor network programming today is exceedingly difficult: developers need to focus on low-level details and it is difficult to express high-level goals. With this project, we raise the abstraction level and let the developer deal with application-level goals and logic, and let the runtime system optimize the low-level mechanisms for a given performance target.
Project partners are KTH, industry collaborators ABB and CRL Sweden.
This project is financed by SSF.

A SICS paper appears in the January 2012 issue of the Philosophical Transaction of the Royal Society, the world's oldest scientific journal.
