Patents are available for licensing from SICS in the field of high performance Internet routing

100 Gb/s - Two new patents bust IP routers' performance.

SICS patented IP address look-up engine reaches one look-up per memory cycle with cheap standard memory and simple programmable logic. With current 10 ns memory technology, this corresponds to a rate of 100 Gb/s per router port.

• Patent #1: Design for unicast forwarding performs IP address look-up through a longest prefix match operation.
