WHAT IS A LEARNING SYSTEM?

In response to the more intense flow of data in society, the increased number of sensors in industry, and the huge amounts of information gathered on internet, there is a striong demand for efficient methods to analyse and search for relevant structures in different types of data.
Learning Systems is a collective name for a number of methods designed to adapt to, and find relevant relations, in large sets of data. The methods can then be used to make automatic classifications or to predict new data.
There is intensive research made in this area, and the industry can gain a lot by utilizing the developed methods.

USE THE NETWORK!

LS is a contact network between universities and industry in Sweden for questions concerning Learning Systems. Its primary purpose is currently to act as a forum where the industry can get useful advice about the available methods, and to spread information about seminars and talks on the subject.
