Emmanuel Frécon - Talks
I maintain on-line a little repository of interesting talks that I have
given in the past. The talks available here are of general interest, even
though some of them describe some project related issues.
- DIVE in the CAVE
. This is a talk that I gave for the first nordic CAVE workshop. It gives
an introduction to the DIVE system from an application, architectural and
programming point-of-view, together with some of the CAVE specific issues.
The programming part focuses on the TCL interface, since it is the most widely
known and used.
- DIVE Network Architecture
. This talk describes the DIVE network architecture and how the platform scales
up both in number of simultaneous participants and in number of (active) objects.
- Interaction and Distribution in Virtual Environments
. This is a general talk presenting some of the key aspects of shared Virtual
Reality, with a strong focus on my own research interests. I have used this
for lecturing several times.
- Reliable IP Multicast
. A survey of reliable multicast architectures and algorithms. The talk contains
some project specific issues at the end but most of it is generic enough
to be of interest to many readers.
