Current projectsDuring July 1999 I went to Nottingham to work fulltime in the KidStory project. Our work concentrated on developing collaborative tools that encourage the kids to work together and collaborate. Our results will are described in a paper that were accpeted at CHI2000. The work within KidStory continues, to createtangible storytelling objects and a storyroom. Within eScape we are working with a project called Mimoid, a mini-operea. This page describes some of the ideas how to solve some technical problems within this project. The Mimoid has resulted in the Blob and currently Mimoid is put on ice. Instead we are working on the predessor, the CyberPond. I have done some experiments how we can utilize PDAs like the PalmPilot. I have put a accelerometer in one. I built a MidiInterface and created the MidiShaker. A demonstrator how JINI and could be used in CVE's. This was presented to some people at Sun during JavaOne'99. Since August 1st we have a project together with the Viktoria Research Institute. In this project we will develop new applications for commuters in cars. The interface will utilize speech technology. In VITI I am responsible for the Gothenburg node at Viktoria Research Institute. Previous ProjectsDuring most of 1997 I worked within the NICE-project. I was responsible to develop a 3D object viewer.Within the eScape project I have made some experiments with fog and neonlights. An interface to control the Sony EVI-D31 camera. A DIVE plugin for SpaceOrb360. Brett Viren has a webpage with information he has found how the SpaceOrb work. I used this information to write my plugin. I made my master thesis during the summer and autumn of 1996. The title of the thesis is "Augmented Virtuality: A method to automatically augment virtual worlds with video images" Project IdeasSome ideas of how MIDI could be implemented in Dive.
