"The purpose of abstraction is not to be vague,
but to create a new semantic level in which one can be absolutely precise"

E. W. Dijkstra - from the Humble Programmer, 1972.
(Read also another interesting article about abstraction).

I am an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Italy and a Senior Researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. My research is about designing, building, and validating networked embedded systems for Cyber-physical and "Internet of Things" scenarios! To that end, I try not just to talk and to write about these systems, but also to build and deploy them!
