Mozart for the Symbian OS, known at SICS as the
OzLite Project, resulted
in some interesting results which are:
1- A port of the Oz abstract machine that
runs on the Nokia Communicator 9210
after removing lots of functionalities. The port emulated successfully
very tiny
oz programs but can not be claimed as a representative Mozart
port.
The following progress
presentation (html),(pdf) illustrates the efforts done for that
platform. Also available: a presentation
about the Symbian OS (html),(pdf)
compiled
from different sources.
2-A secondary output of the porting to the Symbian OS was a nice
scheme
for blocking IO that is also briefly covered in the
above progress presentation.
We intend to provide a more elaborate document on the design of
that IO scheme.
