SICS is owned by the Swedish government.
The core of SICS research is financed by a group of long time industrial partners and the Swedish government. The main national sources of competitive project funding are currently VINNOVA (the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems) and SSF (the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research). A substatial part of SICS's research is funded by European programs.
