Roelof Pieters on Deep Learning

Speaker: Roelof Pieters, KTH, Graph Technologies R&D AB

Deep learning is increasingly used in many domains, including Natural Language Processing. This talk will try to give a short overview of the current state, as well as future possible directions of the field, and how it relates to more traditional NLP and Machine Learning techniques.

The talk will then proceed laying out the current research project, and show some very early examples of Graph based NLP approaches, as well as discuss some of the current unresolved research questions.

Roelof Pieters is a PhD student at KTH (CSC), and Graph Technologies R&D, focusing on graphical models for NLP and Deep Learning. More info @www.csc.kth.se/~roelof/
