Seminar on Traveller Information Services

Public Transport in the Göteborg region has since long been at the forefront of using information services to the traveller. The vision for further development of public transport in the Göteborg region, expressed in the project K2020, will imply significant further advances of the information services to the traveller. It is today commonly agreed that such services for the future must be multi-modal and support the traveller equally well while travelling by car or by bus or any other means of transport. An important purpose of such multi-modal information services is to increase the attractiveness of public transport through convenient access to relevant information.

The purpose of this seminar is to outline the needs and visions for the future of the local and regional authorities as well as the major local public transport company in the Göteborg region. Furthrmore some of the suppliers of solutions and services for travel information and related technology will present their view .

Telematics Valley and the Viktoria Institute are jointly organizing this event, with Västtrafik as host for the meeting.
