Embedded Systems Design: Instant Operating Systems with Protothreads

4 May, 2008 - 20:00

In the cover story of the May 2008 issue of Embedded Systems Design, article author Michael Dorin shows how to use protothreads to build an "instant operating system"; an operating system that can be built directly with a C compiler and with minimal hardware resources: just add protothreads and stir. The protothreads programming concept was developed by SICS researcher Adam Dunkels in 2004.
