Luca Mottola, a Senior Researcher at SICS Swedish ICT in the NES group and an Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), has received the Google Faculty Award for 2015.

The intent of the Google Research Awards is to support cutting-edge research in Computer Science, Engineering, and related fields. Google will fund Luca Mottola’s research for one year on topics related to computing over intermittently-powered embedded devices. The award also includes the opportunity to visit the Google HQs to discuss the ongoing research with Google’s research teams and to give talks about the work.
