Successful paper presentation at Audio Mostly 2013

23 September, 2013 - 15:33

Johan Fagerlönn gave a successful presentation of the research paper “An auditory Display that Assist Commercial Drivers in Lane Changing Situations” at this year's Audio Mostly conference, which was organized by Interactive Institute Swedish ICT in Piteå.

The paper presents research that has been carried out in collaboration with Scania CV AB, and was written by Johan Fagerlönn, Stefan Larsson and Stefan Lindberg. The study investigated whether graded warnings (early and late signal) had different effects on safety and driver acceptance in lane changing situations compared to a single stage warning (only a late signal). Also, the study examined the idea of changing the rhythm of the vehicles turn indicator sound to provide continuous feedback using sound.

The presentation was voted ”best paper presentation” by the conference participants.
