IMPROVE - Improving physical rehabilitation via sensor data analysis

This project focuses on the area of physical rehabilitation using sensor based systems and the need for healthcare organizations to get a quantifiable method of measuring the effectiveness of various treatment programs.

The project will develop an open and generic platform to analyse sensor data gathered during rehabilitation sessions with patients. The aim of the platform is to allow insights into for instance how therapy programs should be designed to produce a more efficient care, reduce treatment times, help prevent recurrent injuries and contribute to cost savings for the healthcare organizations.

The platform will initially be able to handle data generated by the Sensistep (Evalan) and Riablo (CoRehab) rehabilitation platforms, but can be extended to support data from any kind of similar system.
