Secure Connected Trustable Things

SCOTT – Secure COnnected Trustable Things, a pan-European effort with 57 key partners from 12 countries (EU and Brazil), will provide comprehensive cost-efficient solutions of wireless, end-to-end secure, trustworthy connectivity and interoperability (Technology Readiness Level 6-7) to bridge the last mile to market implementation.

Tangible results from all use cases will ultimately be shown to a broader public via more than 20 demonstrators all over Europe.

The SCOTT project objectives include to provide comprehensive cost-efficient solutions of wireless, end-to-end secure, trustworthy connectivity and interoperability, and bridge the last mile to the market, not dealing with just ‘things that are connected’, but ‘trustable things that are connected’.

Importantƒ values for the project include respecting the end-users’ privacy rules, bundling the European key players from several industrial domains and making use of the full potential of cross-domain synergies with the vision to strengthen Europe’s position in the emerging technology field of secure IoT.

Technical Innovations:

  • Showcase the concept of secure, connected, and trustable things in 15 very relevant industry-driven use cases in 5 different domains. ƒ
  • Highlight the interoperability of the SCOTT high-level architecture in novel crossdomain use cases. ƒ
  • Develop 50 re-usable technological building blocks organized in 4 technology lines, which can be fully integrated to enable wireless solutions across domains bringing trustable everyday objects to the mass. ƒ
  • Create smart environments to improve EU citizens’ lives significantly. ƒ
  • Propose a clear roadmap for industrial uptake of technologies to successfully unlock the market potential of the IoT for European enterprises.
