PhD (KTH, Stockholm) and senior research scientist with focus on probabilistic network management approaches and Cloud/NFV/SDN technologies. Holds a M.Sc. degree from KTH in computer science with emphasis on autonomous systems and machine learning, and a B. Sc. on real-time systems.
She is the head of the Network Intelligence group, where she studies and develops probabilistic algorithms and models for decentralized Probabilistic Management in networked systems. The developed probabilistic approaches target fault management and performance monitoring, with focus on decentralized detection and localization of network faults, anomalies and performance degradations.

A new group has been formed at the DNA lab that will focus on applied machine learning and statistical analysis for the telecom domain. The Network Intelligence group will be headed by Rebecca Steinert and the research will be developed together with lab members and associates currently working with her in existing projects. The group will establish new lines of research involving monitoring, probabilistic management, virtualization and software-defined networking for various networking...
SICS ICE – the foundation for a new rapidly expanding Swedish industry sector A new industry sector – the datacenter sector – is emerging in Sweden and it's up to us to take advantage of the opportunities it offers. Several datacenter operators are establishing in the country and many companies have already begun operations: Ericsson has its Cloud business area, ABB has a datacenter business area, Alfa-Laval and Swegon have products, as well as the construction companies NCC and Skanska – not...
